Update: Extra Extra Read All About It . . . DTS is now offering a new free course in 1 Corinthians. “Our culture so closely resembles that of ancient Corinth, it’s as if Paul wrote his epistle of 1 Corinthians directly to us.” -Mark L. Bailey, Ph.D. President DTS. Activate your free course now »

This weeks Good News Memory Verse: As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. — Psalm 18:30 from BBN. And on the Conference Pulpit: Frank Hamrick.

Personal: Preparing for the summer season. Taking Final and writing paper for The Life of David course. I have accepted that Mannheim is not going to be a part of the plan. How God will fund this Summer has not yet been reveled, but He will make a way. I’m concentrating on being the best servant I can be; In service to my Lord, the Church and humanity. This will be a time devoted to Bible study, school, outreach and being the best USACE Volunteer I can be.

Bible Student Hub: I am slowly updating the static pages and rearrange the site. I plan on revising the start page so that it contains only links directly related to Bible Study. Another page has been added to host the other links. This is a work-in-progress and undergoing construction. Please excuse the mess as we work threw this. Blog posts, here, will only come when there is a need to express my thoughts or have updates to share. Follow the blog to receive notice of new posts. In the meanwhile if you scroll down threw the posts you will find links to many resources. As always comments and suggestions are not only welcome but encouraged!

What I am thinking about: At this point in time many people are looking for answers. Some are looking for someone or something to blame. Are we reaping what we have sown? What then should we do? Is this the End Times? Jesus is the answer and His Word is where to find Him and the answers to life’s questions. “No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.” -Micah 6:8 NLT. Note: For some Q&A check out TrueLife, Video answers to life’s questions. This is a “time of shaking” may we be better for it as we come out on the other side.

Pastor’s message to the Church last Sunday focused on a challenge to share the gospel. He then began to illustrate a way to do that and encouraged us to write it down. -The Romans Road.

This weeks Good News Memory Verse: For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. — Psalm 139:13 — from BBN. And on the Conference Pulpit: Various Speakers on issues teens face.

I apologize to those of you who drooped by expecting the weekly update or perhaps a daily post. The daily posts have been discontinued and I’m struggling to publish this weeks update. In the future I expect to write them on Saturdays and publish them Sunday morning as I log in for morning Devotions. I have began working on rearranging the site and updating static pages. It was a busy weekend full of events I attended virtually as well as a return to campus at my home Church. Monday we begin Phase One here in Nashville. Some places that were not open are now and we have a bit more liberty. I am attending to some personal things that have been on hold. Also I am now having to work threw the processes of Furlough and Unemployment. I will get an update out as soon as possible. In the meanwhile scroll down threw past post or use our start page for links to resources. This is a work-in-progress and undergoing construction. Please excuse the mess as we work threw this and as always comments and suggestions are not only welcome but encouraged.

This weeks Good News Memory Verse . . . And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. — John 6:35 — from BBN. And on the Conference Pulpit: Adrian Rogers.

Today’s KJV Verse of the Day: There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:1-2Harper Collins.

Me time: Coffee; King of Kings Radio; Music from my MP3 collection.

On the light side: Christian History: 1828; Birth of Andrew Murray, South African Dutch Reformed clergyman and devotional writer. His most famous writing was “Abide in Christ” (1864). World History: USA 1828; Democratic Party Created, A faction breaks off from the older established Democratic-Republican Party to become the Democratic Party. In the 1828 Presidential Elections opponents of Andrew Jackson told all who would listen that Andrew Jackson was a “Stubborn Jackass” Jackson was proud of his reputation for stubbornness and even wanted to use it as a good quality, so started using a donkey on his campaign posters . Democrats have been using the symbol of the Donkey ever since.

Thought for the day: “Change your thoughts and you’ll change your world.” –Norman Vincent Peale, Some people walk around all day like a powder keg ready to explode. If you find yourself letting anger rule your actions and ruin your day – or other’s around you – you need to re-evaluate your thinking. What you think determines how you feel, not the other way around. –Crosswalk. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. (Philippians 4:8)

Personal: Looking forward to Sunday, Bakers Grove Baptist Church will be meeting in the building and hosting a picnic on the grounds.

Bible Student Hub: Today will be the last Daily Post. We will be moving to Weekly Posts, updating Site layout and Static Pages. To this point we have Two Followers, have received 1 Like and one referral. The site has been viewed in the US, China, South Africa, France and Italy. Please support the effort, I need your critique, comments and suggestions!

This weeks Good News Memory Verse . . . And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. — John 6:35 -from BBN. This week on the Conference Pulpit: Adrian Rogers.

Today’s KJV Verse of the Day: Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man. Colossians 4:5-6Harper Collins

Personal: Safer at Home orders are still in effect here in Nashville. We will move to Phase One Monday. Our Park is closed and we are on Stand Down orders. Looks like at least June before those orders can be repealed. Mannheim announced we will be furloughed for around 17 weeks beginning May 17 2020. Looking forward to Sunday, Bakers Grove Baptist Church will be meeting in the building and hosting a picnic on the grounds. These have been challenging times indeed! I claim, God will see me threw the darkness and into the light. James testifies that the trying of faith worketh patience. (cf James 1) and Paul stated that the Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance. (cf Galatians 5:16-26) Lord let me go forth in your Spirit armed with the truth and be Salt and Light too the world, Amen.

On the light side: While recalling my introduction to Christian Radio I wandered Back through the years, back to the seasons of my youth. I lamented, Dónde Estará Mi Primavera. Featuring sacred music and biographies of great evangelists, the series had premiered only two months earlier, in March. National Day Prayer2020 events. Our Lord’s Prayer for us, in the Garden. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. (John 17:3)

Thought for the day: I have enjoyed and appreciated Christian Radio for many years. King of Kings Radio features local pastors and Country/Southern Gospel music; I was introduced to BBN while attending Trinity Baptist Church a Dave Barba plant. Personal: Storms rolled threw hear yesterday afternoon. No major damage at the homestead just a lot of cleanup to be done. We have no shore power, home internet or cream for my coffee. Not able to sit in a coffee shop, doughnut den or internet cafe due to Covid-19. Did go out for breakfast but had to go east to the next county. Back home now, generator running and cell tethered to laptop. Post will be light and updates will be late, if at all. Check out past posts below for links to find most of the resources yourself.

My favorite Gospel is John’s-written, that we might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing have life through his name. In Chapter 3 we have a discourse with Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. As Allen pointed out, in today’s Devotional, We must accept who He is if we hope to have any Biblical understanding. I would add “Ye Must Be Born Again” So today I’m featuring . . .

10600 Doctrine Of The New Birth This is a Level 1 course in the BBN Bible Institute.

Description: This 3 lesson series is taught by Dr. Stephen Davey. He helps the student understand the necessity of being “born again.” This course is a thorough explanation of John chapter 3 where Jesus taught Nicodemus about this eternally significant subject. Dr. Davey is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Colonial Baptist Church in Cary, NC. He is also President of Shepherd’s Seminary.

The Gospel of John The Gospel of John is an eight-week course taught by Dr. Mark Bailey, Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS) President and Senior Professor of Bible Exposition. See more at Dallas Theological Seminary – Free Online Courses. This is taken from BE105-Gospels An exposition of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, with emphasis on the biblical theology of these books, their genre, and application. Find it here: Dallas Theological Seminary – Online Courses.

I highly recommend How to Read the Bible Like a Seminary Professor taught by Dr. Howard Hendricks at Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS). See more at Dallas Theological Seminary – Free Online Courses. This is taken from BE101-Bible Study Methods An introduction to inductive Bible study involving the steps of observation, interpretation (hermeneutics), application, and correlation.
