Ever have a day or a season when things don’t seem to be going your way? I do, too often. I recall a devotional from Allen Jackson about alignment, well looking back to post 5/7/21 it was Integrity Matters…

Integrity Matters – Today with Allen Jackson
The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity. —Proverbs 11:3The Treasury of Scripture KnowledgeCommentariesStrong’s

Allen, “Integrity is bringing alignment between what you say you believe and who you really are.” –Subscribe with link above —Archive

Dave the Bible student, “I have my challenges but anything lacking is on my part not God’s. God is Good and always God is good. He provides all that is necessary for life and service. So then any, persevered, shortcoming is a mater of misalignment of wills or misunderstanding on my part.”

Today is Wednesday and we are in the middle of VBS. Last week was busy with visitation/bus ministry and preparations in the building. I was only in the park in the morning, not too busy weekday mornings so I got a few posts out. I’m plum tuckered, each night gets later with less sleep so mornings or coming later and later.

My beloved KiKi (Sunny the cat) will stay out on days I rise early but when I try to linger in bed there he is, today was no exception. Ever wake up with a dead mouse laying next to your pillow? Tom Cats like to hunt and come bearing gifts, yes fresh meat. I would that he could learn to lay his gifts at my feet. While I don’t want to discourage his attempts to rid the camp of mice, I don’t share his taste for mouse or care for his laying store live mice in the house. If he had a heart [soul] it would be in the right place but I’m not a mind to receive his gift.

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” –John 1:12-13, King James Version (KJV)

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” –John 3:16, King James Version (KJV)

“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” –John 17:3, King James Version (KJV)

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” —Psalms 119:105, King James Version (KJV)Psalm 119 (verses 105-120)

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” —Psalms 119:11 , King James Version (KJV)Psalm 119 (verses 1-16)
