National Day of Prayer (USA): Proclamation2021 Theme2 Corinthians 3:17

Note: The people of India have an urgent need for help. Pray for them and if you can, Here’s how you can help.

“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” —James 5:16
King James Version (KJV) –emailed dally from Harper Collins.

I Confess that I have a tendency toward laziness, procrastination and I’m not the prayer warrior I should be. So I pray for a clean heart and sound mind; that all that I say and do brings glory to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; for wisdom, knowledge courage and strength; greater faith and dedication; for His will to be done in and through me. I trust whole in my God and know that He will provide all that is necessary for life and service!

Today with Allen Jackson: Acts 9:15-16 (NIV®)
But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel. I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.” –We need to understand that we too will suffer for the name of Jesus. We may not be physically attacked and imprisoned as Paul was. But we may very well face mockery, lost business opportunities, and strained friendships. This is a part of the high calling of serving our Lord, and it should not surprise us or discourage us. –Allen –Subscribe with link above —Archive

Turning Point with David Jeremiah: Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.James 4:7-8

Today’s Hymn: HOW GREAT THOU ARTAmy Grant

From the Mail Bag. . .

At Dallas Theological Seminary, we are equipping leaders to share the gospel of Christ and train new disciples. But you don’t have to be a seminary student or a pastor to share the gospel.

In fact, all Christians are called to share our faith as often as we can. That’s why DTS is launching a new free online course on Evangelism. This course will introduce the terms related to evangelism and help you become more confident in sharing the gospel message with others.

Taught by DTS professor of Pastoral Ministries Dr. Barry Jones, this free online course will give you a high-level look at evangelism. The course covers the biblical imperative to share the gospel and how Jesus taught His own disciples to talk about Him. The course also provides a practical method of sharing your faith that takes less than one class period to memorize. Dr. Jones and a guest speaker discuss the fear that keeps some of us from being bold with sharing the gospel and give you practical advice on how you can overcome that fear.

I’m excited to share this course with you. I hope it encourages you to share the gospel with someone who needs to hear it.
